Permanent Eyebrow Shaping with Electrolysis

Shape your brows once. Keep them that way.

Eyebrow threading, waxing, and tweezing are a lifelong commitment — every few weeks, back in the chair. If you've found a shape you love, electrolysis can make it permanent. Bare Hair Electrolysis in Riverton, Utah can permanently remove the hairs outside your ideal brow shape so you keep what you want and never have to maintain the rest.

This is precise, careful work — Em removes only the hairs you want gone, following your natural arch or a shape you agree on together, and leaving the brow itself intact.

What Is Permanent Eyebrow Shaping?

Eyebrow electrolysis permanently removes individual hairs outside your desired brow shape using a small, controlled electrical current. A hair-fine probe is inserted into each follicle. The current destroys the follicle permanently. The hair is lifted out cleanly.

Unlike laser — which can't treat fine or light brow hairs and carries risks near the delicate eye area — electrolysis is precise, controlled, and works on every hair color and skin tone. There's no risk of accidentally affecting the brow shape you want to keep, because each hair is treated individually.

How It Works

Your first appointment includes a consultation where you and Em agree on exactly which hairs are being removed. She takes a precise, careful approach — removing only the hairs outside your intended shape. If you want to clean up below the brow, define the arch, reduce stray hairs between the brows, or create a completely clean edge, Em works to your specifications.

Eyebrow sessions are typically 15 to 30 minutes. You'll need a few sessions to catch all the hairs in their active growth phase. Once treated, those hairs are gone permanently — and ongoing touch-up sessions become minimal or unnecessary.

Who Is It For?

Eyebrow electrolysis is ideal for:

  • Anyone who's found a brow shape they love and wants it permanently — stop going back every 3–4 weeks and just keep the shape
  • Clients with light, fine, or gray eyebrow hairs — laser can't treat these. Electrolysis treats every hair color.
  • Clients who get ingrown hairs from tweezing or waxing — electrolysis eliminates the hair entirely so ingrowns can't happen
  • Clients with darker skin tones — electrolysis is safe on all skin tones. Laser near the brows isn't appropriate for many skin types.
  • Clients reshaping over-plucked brows — electrolysis can permanently remove the strays and definition lines while you let the rest grow back

What Results Can You Expect?

Results are permanent. Once a follicle is treated, it can't produce hair. Most clients reach their desired brow definition within 2–4 sessions. After that, occasional maintenance sessions may be needed to catch any new hairs in their growth cycle — but the difference in upkeep compared to regular threading or waxing is dramatic.

Many clients describe it as one of the most practical uses of electrolysis because the results are immediately visible and the time savings compound for years.

Frequently Asked Questions — Permanent Eyebrow Shaping

Will electrolysis affect my existing brows?

No. Electrolysis treats only the specific hairs that are targeted — the probe goes into individual follicles that you and Em identify together. Your existing brow shape is not affected. Em works conservatively and checks in with you during the session.

Can electrolysis remove the fine hairs between or below my brows?

Yes. Fine, light hairs between the brows or below the brow line are exactly the hairs laser struggles with. Electrolysis treats every hair regardless of color or thickness.

How many sessions will I need?

Most clients reach their desired shape within 2–4 sessions. Hair grows in cycles, so a couple of follow-up appointments catch any remaining follicles. After that, touch-ups are minimal.

Is it safe near my eyes?

Yes. Em uses protective shields near the eyes when needed and works carefully in the brow area. Electrolysis is regularly used in and around the brow area — it's a standard treatment, not a high-risk one.

I over-plucked my brows for years. Can electrolysis help me reshape them?

Electrolysis removes hairs you don't want — it doesn't cause hairs to grow. But if you're trying to create a cleaner definition line on a new shape as your brows grow back, yes, electrolysis can permanently remove the hairs outside your new intended shape so you don't have to keep maintaining them.
